The Reverend Arlise Carson serves as the assistant pastor of Saint Paul A.M.E. Church in Rockville Centre, NY. She is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, and is happily married to the Rev. Tiate (tee-ah-tey) Carson, a native of Detroit, MI.  The Carsons are blessed with two beautiful and anointed daughters, Bria and Imani.

 

Reverend Arlise earned her B.A. in Political Science Pre-Law from Norfolk State University, Master of Science in Education/Special Education Childhood from Touro College Graduate School of Education, Master of Professional Studies in Urban Ministry and Master of Divinity from Nyack College Alliance Theological Seminary. She will earn a doctorate (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in the Spring of 2026.

 

Rev. Arlise is a veteran educator, former New York State Superintendent of Schools, CEO of Carson Educational Consulting firm, and a current Long Island charter school Chief Academic Officer. She is a gifted artist whose work has been featured nationally and internationally and a contributing author to the educator’s resource book Tackle Reading and has self-published her first book, “Winning in the Dark.”

 

Twenty-four years ago, Rev. Arlise answered her call while attending the Greater Allen Cathedral of NY under the now retired pastors, the Rev. Doctors Floyd and Elaine Flake. She now serves under the anointed leadership of her husband, who is the senior pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Rockville Centre, NY. Rev. Arlise’s ministry experience and unwavering commitment to her faith are evident in her desire to please and glorify the Lord her God. Her ministry is the epitome of her being “Called into This Time for God’s Purpose,” and she is committed to setting every captive free through a radically relevant message of salvation, deliverance, and uncompromised truth rooted in the word of God.
